Finally, after some months of arrangements, the fortieth “International Symposium on Robotics” is coming out to the public as one of the most remarkable events in the next year at industrial level.

The Spanish Association (Asociación Española de Robótica y Automatización de Tecnologías de la Producción (AER-ATP) will organize the fortieth International Symposium on Robotics (ISR 2009), which will be held in Barcelona from 10th to 13th March, 2009.

Besides, ISR 2009 will be developed parallel with Maquitec fair, one of the most important exhibitions for the whole industry of the metallurgic sector, which offers the most recent ideas, innovations and technologies in the sector, the greatest international offer and the participation of the most important exhibitors and those present empowered to purchase. Besides, Maquitec is a platform for the technical debate and provides a wide program of technical activities which reflect the present and the future of the industry.

ISR 2009 will be a key event in what concerns to the robotics field because it represents a meeting point for all the scientific, technical and industrial points connected with the robotics. In fact, one of the most relevant aims is that ISR 2009 creates an opportunity for all those old and well-known friends to meet each other and, the most important thing, to familiarize with the new colleagues of this field.

The target of ISR 2009 is to provide opportunities to the investigators and engineers worldwide to present its pioneering work and to share ideas in the robotics field. The symposium will offer five types of sessions; technical-scientific, industrial, technology transfer, new products and funds opportunities for the research. During these sessions it will be present the latest advances and discoveries made through the main referenced people as well as the associations and the most influential companies of the sector.

In an event like this, which has an honour committee made up of the main Catalan and Spanish authorities, IDASA could not be missing.
